The Sixth Annual
Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day
Winter Sports and Fun at the Pottle Tree Farm
 

Saturday, February 16th we held our Sixth Annual "Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day "Winter Sports & Fun" at the Pottle Tree Farm in Perry Maine to increase awareness of Congenital Heart Defects and raise funds for families affected by CHD's.  It was a frigid 10 degrees, but this did not deter the over 85 winter enthusiasts and supporters who came to enjoy the day.

Determined to sled, participants beat a single path between patches of grass down to the icy pond.  Ice fishing was an added sport this year--with a couple of close catches.  People also enjoyed the miles of trails...as always.

Proceeds from the day were $1,333 dollars with just as much expected to be donated in the next month or two. We also received several bottles of pennies as part of our penny drive.
