The
Eighth Annual
Congenital Heart Defect Awareness
Day
Winter Sports and Fun at the Pottle Tree Farm
Saturday, February 13, 2010 we held our Eighth Annual "Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day "Winter Sports & Fun" at the Pottle Tree Farm in Perry Maine to increase awareness of Congenital Heart Defects and raise funds for families affected by CHD's. It was beautiful warm day with over 166 winter enthusiasts and supporters. Each year seems to take on it's own flavor--this year skating seemed to be the hit activity. Ice fishing was also fun, with 1 trout and 3 catfish. It was a challenging ski race, but conditions did not deter a hand-full of committed skiers. Young and old had the usual fun sledding down the hill. An exciting relay race around the pond entertained us all.
Proceeds from the day were over $1,800 dollars with just as much expected to be donated in the next month or two. People also came with pennies from our previous penny drive,
Here are some pictures from the day:

It was the first fish she had ever caught.
