Jim Pottle Remembered

Jim and Sandra Pottle generously share their Tree Farm on Boyden Lake in Perry Maine for Strongheart's annual fundraiser, Winter Sport and Fun. We were deeply saddened by the sudden death of Jim from a heart attack in 2005. Strongheart's annual event "Winter Sport and Fun" is not only in remembrance of Seamus Duffy, a strong boy who lost his battle with a congenital heart defect and made all of our hearts larger, but also in memory of James Pottle, a strong husband, father, friend and steward of the land. Like Seamus, Jim helped our hearts grow larger and stronger. He prepared the trails, nurtured the land and then invited us all to the Pottle Tree Farm in Perry. This was his pleasure and his pride. It has been and will continue to be our healing.
